- 1/2 cup Cranberry Juice
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 4-5 frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup plain 2% greek Yogurt
Blend it all together and enjoy.
This does make one serving, so of course if you want 2, just double the recipe! 💞
VARIATION OF PINK LASSIE:
- 1/2 cup Apple Juice
- 1/4 Cup frozen raspberries
- 5 medium frozen strawberries
- 1/4 cup plain 2% greek Yogurt.
Great for Periods!
Cranberry juice has a lot of vitamin C in it, which will help to absorb the iron you need for your menstrual period. Also, you cannot go wrong with bananas during this time either.
However, with a banana being in this drink, I believe you should find cranberry juice that is low in sugar. This can be hard to find as juice does have a lot of sugar. (If I can’t get to organic cranberry juice, I will grab “diet ocean spray”) It’s super convenient and easy to grab at the grocery store!
Another reason this really creates a great balance of a smoothie especially in menstruating women, is the live active cultures found in the greek yogurt! (more on this in future blogs!)
